Funding

In July 2010 the WCP was awarded a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to fund Phase 1 of its work. The total cost of this first phase is £200,730 over a three year period, with funding awarded on a yearly basis.

In February 2011 the WCP was given a £500 donation by the A. R. Wallace Memorial Fund (http://wallacefund.info/) to pay for a programmer to design the user interface for the Project's MS Access database, which will be used to catalogue Wallace's surviving correspondence. The WCP's Mellon grant does not include money to pay for the construction of the Project's database or its Website.
